The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Fighters Table
Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, demons, and dark forces growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Note: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season are included.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.
The antagonist then cleared his debts and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants revenge.
- Kattigan has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a nasty place.
- The warrior and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their position as key figures in the powerful family could assist the group enter areas they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, Teor vowed a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:
- Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
- The warrior and The healer defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to head to the remote area in search of the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
Based on the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Seekers and Strategists parties.
Viewers can expect discovering which characters will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
