Several people have been injured when a Delta jet traveling from Los Angeles to Sydney encountered turbulence on Friday morning.
Delta Flight 41 "experienced a brief period of turbulence" as it landed at the Sydney airport, a representative for the carrier stated. A number of the onboard staff sustained injuries.
The New South Wales Ambulance Service reported they treated five individuals, and transported a trio to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries that included back pain and head pain. Those affected spanned from their 30s up to the 70s.
