AC Shadows Unveils Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a bizarre partnership that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.
The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Latest Free Story Addition
This release also brings the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive techniques: Naoe debuts a dramatic variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
